Steven Mark Potts

Mr. Steven Mark Potts of Hohenwald, passed away on Wednesday, December 5th at the Maury Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 15th, 1970 to the late Glen Thomas Potts and Brenda Kay Keener Potts in Macomb, IL. He was married to Terri (Landrum) Potts, with whom he shares 3 kids with, Zachary, McKenzie and Emily. He loved many things, including his family and his community, but he also loved coaching baseball, for many years he coached his kids from Tee-Ball up until Middle School. His love for the game was also evidenced by his love for The Chicago Cubs. After being diagnosed with cancer, Steven was able to see one of his wishes come true and visit Wrigley Field with his family. A man of many traits, Steven worked constructions jobs for many years to recently opening The Hometown Bakery in 2011 and operating it with his wife Terri. The Hometown Bakery is still open to this day and a staple in the community. He was loved by all that knew him. He loved his family and his community, he loved his dogs Rizzo (named after Chicago Cubs player Anthon Rizzo) & Trooper, but more than anything he loved his new grandson Levi Osborne, who he was able welcome to the world this year. He is survived by: Wife: Terri Potts of Hohenwald Son: Zachary Potts of Hohenwald Son: McKenzie Potts, girlfriend Jade Tiller of Hohenwald Daughter: Emily Osborne husband Trevor of Hohenwald Father-In-Law: Michael Landrum of Hohenwald Mother-In-Law: Alice Landrum of Hohenwald Brother: Chris Potts Keener (Carol) of Murfreesboro, TN Brother: Louis Potts, girlfriend Kelly Elswick of Hohenwald Brother: Larry Potts wife Brenda of Columbia, TN Sister: Susan Adkins husband Ronnie of Hohenwald Sister: Ella Potts of Pensacola, FL Sister: Yvette Potts of Tulsa, OK Sister-In-Law: Dolly Landrum Warren of Hohenwald Grandson: Levi Osborne 7 Nieces 9 Nephews And Several great nieces and nephews He is preceded in death by his Father & Mother, Brother Corey Thomas Potts, Brother Gary Potts and Sister Sheila Burroughs. Visitation with the family will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, December 6th at the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 6th at 11:00 am, with Ronnie Brewer officiating in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Ronnie Brewer will officiate and speakers Robert Brewer, Robert Heflin and Larry Helton. Burial will follow in the Downey Cemetery. Adam Barnes, Shannon Banks, Greg Baker, Justin Osborne, Dustin Carroll and Rick Osborne will serve as pall bearers.
