Carol Ann Haley Taylor

Carol Ann Haley Taylor, of Lyles, Tennessee, passed away on June 29, 2026, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. She was 74 years old. Carol was born on April 15, 1952, in Columbia, Tennessee, to the late Delbert Leroy Haley and Mildred Elizabeth Mayberry Haley. She was raised on the family farm in the Anderson Bend community of Hickman County alongside her siblings, Mary Dell, Roy, Terry, Elaine, Faye, Sammy, Betty, Sue, and Chris. Growing up she attended Little Lot Methodist Church with her family and was baptized there. A proud member of the Hickman County High School Class of 1970, Carol devoted much of her career to serving as an office assistant at Genesco Shoe Company, Vanderbilt, and Columbia State Community College. Most recently, she worked at the Centerville Municipal Golf Course, a position she loved immensely and where she especially enjoyed the friendships she made and the time she spent with the community. Carol took great pride in caring for her home and family. She was an exceptional homemaker, known for her organizational skills, immaculate home, and the delicious meals she lovingly prepared for family and friends. She was a devoted caregiver to her parents during their later years and found immense joy in spending time with and caring for her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sisters, Faye Flanigan, Betty Harrington, and Sue Scott, and by her brother, Sammy Haley. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Monica DePriest, Ben (Sara) Davidson, and Amber (Garrett) Gordon. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to Ryan, Haley, Briley, Nolan, Abby, Drew, Grant, Oaklee, Murphee Kate, Carmella, and Celia, each of whom brought tremendous joy to her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Dell (Richard) Oakley and Elaine Davidson; her brothers, Roy Haley, Terry (Shelly) Haley, and Chris (Candie) Scott; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Carol will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family, her caring heart, and the kindness she showed to everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love and selfless care will be treasured by all whose lives she touched.
