Betty Jean Bradford Hughes was born on July 18, 1931, in Fairmount, Georgia, and passed away on May 21, 2021, in Centerville, Tennessee. She was 89 years old. She is the daughter of the late Walter W. Bradford and Robbie I. Ballard Bradford. She was also preceded in death by her husband David Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her sons Martin EC “Pete” Anderson, Hubert William Anderson, and Kenneth Charles Anderson; Daughter Sandra Jean Ramos; Sister Mary Sue Lee. She is survived by her daughters Wanda Joyce Anderson of Seymour, Tennessee, and Trena Gay Warming of Moore, Oklahoma. Sons Stoney Ray Anderson of Bon Aqua, Tennessee, and Rocky Clay Anderson of Bon Aqua, Tennessee. Siblings James “Jimmy” Bradford of Detroit, Michigan, Charles Bradford of Adairsville, Georgia, Carol Crumbley of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Linda Dempsey of Adairsville, Georgia. 16 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones. For Mrs. Betty, cooking was a big part of her life. She worked for over 15 years between a restaurant and hospital preparing food. When cooking at home she could make a meal out of seemingly nothing, which was a good talent to have with 8 children. She loved making good country food and she was very good at it. She also loved dancing and music when she was able. She enjoyed gardening and grew many flowers over the years. She also loved to go gambling. The Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut was her favorite place to go. She had always dreamed of winning the lottery. She had a big place in her heart for her two Chihuahuas Chico and Tikki. They were her babies. Most of all she loved her family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by them.
