Brenda Faye Amacher Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Brenda Amacher of Hohenwald passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 78. Known for her spunk and humor, Bren was a friend to everyone who knew her. She never failed to live life to the fullest and made everyone laugh as often as she could. Bren was born on July 23, 1943, to Carl Amacher and Christine (Jones) Amacher in Hohenwald. She worked at DANA here in Hohenwald until her retirement. She then began working at King Machine Works in Hohenwald and stayed there for a number of years. However, her favorite job came later in life when she became a professional Ride-arounder. Though she never drove more than 20 mph, she kept Lewis County roads hot and never failed to enjoy a ride around town as often as she could. While on her rides, she could be seen buying a hamburger and fries at McDonald's, throwing the burger away, and making a "tater sandwich." Above all, Bren was a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her sisters, Rebecca King and Barbara Turner, both of Hohenwald. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Christine Amacher, and her siblings, James Amacher, Charles Amacher, and Martha Moore. Visitation with the family will be conducted on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 10:30 AM-2:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Jeff Gandy officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery.
