Mackenzie Lynn Smith

Mackenzie Lynn Smith, 26, of Tennessee, passed away on August 16, 2026. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 11, 2000, Mackenzie was a daughter, sister, and, most importantly to her, a mother. Mackenzie was a one-of-a-kind person who was never afraid to be herself. She could be strong-willed and, at times, difficult to deal with. Like anyone, she had her struggles and her imperfections. But underneath it all was a heart that cared deeply for the people around her. Even through disagreements, arguments, and difficult times, she never stopped loving her family. No matter what happened, she remained a part of their lives and never truly turned her back on the people she loved. Mackenzie had a giving heart. When she was able, she loved giving gifts, doing things for others, and finding ways to make the people around her feel loved. She enjoyed singing and doing her makeup, and she had a personality that left an impression on everyone who knew her. Above all else, Mackenzie loved being a mother. Her children were the most important part of her world. She cherished her son, William Nicolas Tidwell II, and her daughter, Amora-Mae Leslie Tidwell, and being their mom was one of the greatest parts of her life. Her love for them was something that will remain a part of her family forever. Mackenzie is survived by her beloved children, William Nicolas Tidwell II and Amora-Mae Leslie Tidwell; her father, Jorge Martinez; and her siblings, Andrew Logan Parker, Alex Garcia-Mosqueda, Kimberli-Maria Esperanza Martinez, Preston James Richardson, and Isaac Ray Richardson, along with extended family and friends who loved her and will continue to carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her mother, Robin Leslie Martinez, who she will now be reunited with. Though Mackenzie’s life was far too short, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will not be forgotten. Her family will remember not only the difficult moments, but also the laughter, the love, the gifts, the songs, the makeup, the memories, and most of all, the love she had for her children and her family. Mackenzie will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. “You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts.”
